FireAngel Pro Connected Wireless Smoke Alarm FP2620W2-R

The FireAngel FP2620W2-R is a Pro Connected battery smoke alarm with a sealed 10 year lithium battery, so there is no battery to replace over its life. Its Thermoptek multi-sensor combines optical and heat sensing, and FireAngel say it detects both slow-smouldering and fast-flaming fires in under half the time of single-sensor alarms; it is also designed to cut nuisance alarms from cooking, so it can go near kitchens and dining areas. It links wirelessly with up to 50 FireAngel Pro Connected and Wi-Safe 2 devices, so when one alarm sounds they all do, with no wiring between them.

Using it

Fit on the ceiling using the lockable backplate, at least 300mm from walls and light fittings, 500mm from corners and 500mm from vents and fans. Do not fit it above a cooker, in a bathroom or garage, or where the temperature regularly goes above 38°C or below 5°C. Follow FireAngel's guide to link alarms together.

Care

Press the test button monthly and vacuum around the sensor every six months. A single beep every 40 seconds means the battery is at end of life and the alarm needs replacing; a repeating beep pattern means a fault.
