A 25 metre coil of JG Speedfit 15mm Layflat polybutylene barrier pipe for hot and cold water and central heating. It lays flat and has no coil memory once unrolled, so it is easy to run through joists, and it is lightweight and flexible, so runs need fewer fittings. The pipe has five layers with an oxygen barrier in the centre that limits air getting into the system and so reduces corrosion of metal parts. It resists scale and corrosion, reduces water hammer noise, and JG Speedfit say its elasticity helps reduce the risk of bursting in freezing conditions. No hot works are needed.

Using it
Cut square with a plastic pipe cutter and deburr it. Fit a pipe insert before pushing the pipe fully into a fitting; inserts are required with compression fittings. Follow JG Speedfit's instructions on clipping and on connections near boilers.
