Purdy Monarch Elite brushes are designed by UK professionals for the UK trade. The filament is a blend of Chinex and Orel synthetics, tipped and flagged, and Purdy say it picks up and lays off more paint than a standard brush and will not lose bristles. They work best with emulsion and also suit other water-based and oil-based paints. Each brush is straight cut with a fixed head, round-edge ferrule and beavertail handle, and the smaller sizes are good for cutting in. Using it
Load about a third of the bristle length and tap off the excess. Use the wider brushes for walls and the narrower ones for cutting in around ceilings, windows and skirting.
Care
Remove excess paint first, then clean straight away: warm soapy water for water-based paint or the appropriate solvent for oil-based paint. Comb out the bristles and let them dry hanging or flat.
