Product Overview

Centring point for quick commencement of drilling without the drill slipping. 160 angle tip allows for quick drilling in concrete. Very deep seating of carbide plate significantly improves connection with the drill core, which affects quality. Aggressive grooves allow fast extraction of material and increase the drilling speed.

How to use it

Drilling and fixing to walls

Choose the right screw, plug and drill bit for brick, plasterboard or wood.

Step by step

Check for hidden pipes and cables with a detector before drilling.
Work out the wall type: solid brick, block, plasterboard or timber.
Pick the fixing: wall plugs for masonry, cavity fixings for plasterboard, wood screws into timber.
Match the drill bit to the plug size on the pack.
Drill straight and to the plug length plus a few millimetres.
Clear the dust, tap the plug in flush and drive the screw.

Tips

Use masonry bits for brick and block, HSS bits for metal, wood bits for timber.
Put masking tape on tiles before drilling to stop the bit slipping.
For heavy items on plasterboard, fix into the timber studs.

Safety

Never drill directly above, below or beside sockets and switches: cables often run there.
Wear eye protection when drilling.
