How to use it

Treating fences, sheds, decking and garden furniture

Protect outdoor wood from rain and sun so it lasts longer.

Step by step

Pick a dry spell: no rain due for at least 24 hours.
Brush off dirt, cobwebs and loose flakes with a stiff brush.
Treat any mould or algae and rinse if the product needs it.
Let the wood dry right through.
Apply the treatment with a brush or sprayer, working along the full length of each board.
Add a second coat if the label says so, once the first is touch dry.

Tips

Test the colour on a hidden area first, as wood type changes the shade.
Do the end grain well, as that is where water gets in.
Decking oils go on thin; wipe off any puddles.

Safety

Wear gloves and eye protection when spraying.
Keep pets and children away until it is dry.
